How endorsements work

Endorsements are testimonials attached to your content. Three statuses. Per-category limits. You approve everything.

Three statuses

Status

Meaning

PENDING

Submitted. Awaiting your review.

ACTIVE

Approved by you. Visible on your profile.

INACTIVE

Rejected, archived, or auto-demoted (see overflow rules).

Submitting an endorsement

Go to any coach's profile. Click Endorse. Pick the content item to endorse. Write your message (up to 500 chars) and optionally attach media (image up to 100MB, video up to 100MB).

Anyone can submit — including unauthenticated visitors. Authenticated endorsers get linked to their profile automatically.

Reviewing endorsements you receive

Go to Profile → Endorsements. Three tabs:

  • Active — currently shown on your profile

  • Pending — awaiting your review (badge shows count)

  • Archived — rejected or auto-demoted

/p/:handle/endorsements page showing the three tabs with pending count badge

Approve, reject, archive

From any endorsement card, use the three-dot menu:

  • Approve — moves PENDING to ACTIVE (subject to limits, see below)

  • Reject — moves PENDING to INACTIVE

  • Archive — moves ACTIVE to INACTIVE (hides from profile)

  • Activate — moves INACTIVE back to ACTIVE

  • Delete — hard-deletes the endorsement

Bulk actions

Select multiple endorsements via checkbox. Bulk-approve, bulk-reject, bulk-archive, or bulk-delete.

The 3-active-per-category limit

Each content category caps at 3 ACTIVE endorsements. The cap is per-category, not per-profile, so a coach with content in multiple categories can show more than 3 endorsements total.

Categories include BIOGRAPHY, STATEMENT, ACHIEVEMENT, EDUCATION, CAREER, FEATURE.

What happens when you approve a 4th endorsement in a category

The oldest ACTIVE endorsement in that category is auto-demoted to INACTIVE. The new endorsement takes its place as ACTIVE. The demoted one stays in your Archived tab — restorable any time via Activate.

This is intentional. Caps protect profile readability. Premium tiers will lift the cap later.

Endorsement notifications

When an authenticated user submits an endorsement, you get an in-app notification. When an endorsement transitions to ACTIVE (whether by single-action approval, bulk approve, or atomic approve), the endorser gets an email confirming activation.
